Job Description
The Senior Manager / Manager – Project will be responsible for the full spectrum of project management activities, from planning and coordination to execution and delivery. The position requires close collaboration with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success in terms of time, cost, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall planning, scheduling, and execution of construction and development projects.
- Develop and maintain project timelines using Primavera P6, ensuring accurate tracking and progress reporting.
- Oversee budget control, contract administration, and risk management for assigned projects.
- Supervise and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all works are in compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including safety and environmental standards.
- Drive quality assurance and resolve site issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Report project status, risks, and recommendations to senior management regularly.
- Develop manpower and resource planning aligned with project milestones.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and performance monitoring for site personnel.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on project management experience in property development or construction.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 is a must.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, contracts, regulatory compliance, and project documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Willing to be stationed in Miri, Kuching, or Bintulu based on project assignment.
